the best coffeshop in Amsterdam! Very good personel and nice atmosphere !

BasJoe's was the 3rd coffee shop we visited on 17th November 2011, and knew straight away had found my place!?!? Absolutely fab ambiance, friendly budtenders who can give a good recommendation and they can make tea! (hey I'm British - Cup of Tea and a Spliff and I can put the world to rights).
Music was good and not too loud - enabling good conversations to be had.

Will definitely visit again when over between 13 - 20/02/2012.
Only downside (if you can call it that) was no Backgammon board - they only had chess. Oh well - not such a big loss - just have another spliff!!

Visited your shop a few nights ago. Dunno what all the hype is about as what the budtender showed me was crap. Take a red face.

Nice to meet you last week! Basjoe is a good place to sample good weed at great price, take tea and listen to good music.

so glad to hear basjoe is still going strong, its been a long time since i was in the dam and it will definitely be my first port of call.

I took my mother-in-law to get the "best spacecake in Amsterdam" let me tell you she's never taken anything before...the cake was so good she lost 3 weeks of memory....lmao..she woke up the next morning and remembered everything though...

Been to Amsterdam for 4 days in September, didnt hear about any coffeeshop before. Just 100m away from my hostel there was It, the Basjoe coffeeshop, a trully magical place for spending the entire afternoon in the city. Everything about It was perfect, the atmosphere, chilling music, the level of light in the place and James with his appearance. Many coffeeshops try to get visitors with neon lights, strong names (like neighbours - Bagherra, got logo of a black panther - a parable to getting rly stoned or sometning), but not Basjoe. Basjoe wins with his simplicity and they also god good stuff - tried Orange Bud, Jack Herrer and Bas Special. Would definetly recommend the last one, though the other two are also very nice to smoke.

Great coffeeshop, one of the best in Amsterdam. Highly recommended!

We are planning another trip to Amsterdam in May 2012. I understand the new law will prohibit foreigners from visiting coffeeshops. Can you please update me on that situation.

I really enjoy being back in Amsterdam and this time also during summertime..! First time staying on a houseboat which is also very cool..! Smoking the Terminator just makes the day almost perfect..!

A massive thanks to the boys at Basjoe. was in town for four days and visited alot of coffee shops. Basjoe was by far the best, top notch weed and the best atmosphere in the city. Big up Basjoe!!!

I was in town for the recent 4/20 festivities, and what a party. On the 19th, James and Co. welcomed members of the A.C.D. Forum for a Toke and Talk sponsored by one of our members. The T&T was EPIC; James provided many filled bowls and bongs. Thank you James.

On 20 April 2011, Koffeehuis Basjoe was announced as the "Best Coffeeshop" during the 2nd Annual Hestia 4/20 Cup. The trophy was presented to James on the 21st. Unfortunately I don't have pics, I'll check others to see if I can have copies to submit here for consideration.

Congratulations to James and Basjoe.

In two weeks I'm heading for Amsterdam to stay for a whole week. Basjoe will be a definite stop for me!

I visited Amsterdam back in March '11 and stopped by alittle more than a handful of coffeeshops while i was there. I have to say. Basjoe was the best coffeeshop in the Dam. Will love to go back and hopefully one day i will. Btw I didnt catch the name of one of the brothers who ran the shop...the fellow with the longer hair. He was the koolest/nicest merchant i dealt with in Amsterdam. Top notch Service.

Came to Amsterdam in 2009 and this was the best coffee shop we went to. Got the best cheese here and got a free bag of heaven haze from Leonardo. Such a shame he has passed away. I'm visiting again over easter and will smoke a spliff in his honour
